Ensure every shift is fully staffed to meet production goals
Prior to contacting Malone, Arvato struggled to fill their open positions in multiple locations. Specifically, a short-staffed site in Louisville, KY was barely able to hire 5 new employees in 2 months while a high-volume site in Ontario, CA were extremely behind on hiring forklift drivers. With six outside staffing vendors failing to provide adequate support and a pay-rate lower than industry average, Arvato turned to Malone.
Scaling a solution to client needs solved an ongoing staffing dilemma
After meeting with Arvato, Malone concluded that their staffing struggles were due to a combination of low pay rates and little engagement from their current staffing vendors. The Malone team recognized the importance of eliminating Arvato’s concerns and began building a recruiting strategy that would provide open communication and transparency as well as incentivize their open positions despite the low pay rate.
Malone’s creative recruiting approach attracted experience talent Arvato contacted Malone in September and by mid-October , Malone began working to customize a recruiting plan tailored specifically to Arvato’s needs. As part of their recruiting strategy, the Malone team communicated daily with Arvato’s hiring managers at each facility they supported. The team was quick to follow up, coordinate interviews, and present qualifications of each prospective candidates. After recruiting efforts ramped up, Malone provided a dedicated onsite team member that further improved management of the recruiting process. This move sped up onboarding and contributed to their overall success.
“Our onsite (representative) is so energetic and so enthusiastic. A big part of [the success] is the relationship she builds with each of the employees.”

Additionally, the low pay rate was another challenge that Malone knew needed to be approached differently than the other staffing providers currently working with Arvato. The team implemented an incentive program that would allow each new hire to receive a sign on bonus after their first two weeks of work. Malone’s internal marketing team heavily advertised this incentive across many social media platforms which attracted more candidates than ever before.
