Leading global automobile parts maker lifts productivity levels with Malone’s custom staffing solution

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A major local account was struggling to find qualified talent during the COVID-19 pandemic. While many other staffing firms struggled to provide candidates, Malone stepped up to fully support the client by creatively adapting to the current recruiting landscape. Acting as a true extension of the client’s team, Malone built a staffing plan that provided high quality candidates and contributed to successful production goals for Hyundai Transys.

THE CLIENT

One of the world’s leading global automobile parts maker
Hyundai Transys is a global automobile parts system company. As the the only company in the world to build a full line-up of transmissions, including automatic transmissions, continuously variable transmissions, dual clutch transmissions, manual transmissions, hybrid transmissions, and reduction gears for electric vehicles, they have built a solid reputation in the global auto parts industry.

THE CHALLENGE

Overcome the national talent shortage and ensure every shift is fully staffed to meet customer demands
As a result of the pandemic, the federal government passed three separate bills that provided most Americans with a stimulus payment and/or enhanced unemployment benefits. While these bills were passed to aid families struggling to make ends meet, this also meant that many people had the means to stay home rather than re-enter the workforce. Hyundai Transys was feeling the impact of the labor market and struggled to meet customer demands. With an outside staffing vendor failing to provide adequate support, Hyundai Transys decided to put all their eggs in one basket and turn to Malone.

THE APPROACH

Malone’s grassroots, digital, and incentivized recruiting approach quickly filled the candidate pipeline
Although the recruiting market was more competitive than ever before, Malone knew adaptability and creativity would be essential when attracting qualified talent for Hyundai Transys. Ready to step up to the challenge, Malone began building a custom recruiting plan for Hyundai Transys. Familiar with the labor shortage, the Malone team knew they would need to pull out all the stops to be successful.

THE RESULTS

Leveraging their Corporate Recruitment Marketing Team, Malone placed Hyundai Transys ads on every major advertising platform including Indeed, Facebook, and Google to build up their candidate pipeline. The team utilized grassroots recruiting methods such as passing out flyers, putting up yard signs, and hosting job fairs. The team’s most experienced recruiters conducted on-the-spot interviews both virtually, and at their local branch office, and offered incentives for new Hyundai Transys hires.
