Mold Technician
Location: Portland, TN
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00/hour (based on experience)
Shifts Available:

2nd Shift: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM
-
3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 7:45 AM

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mold Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving injection molding machinery and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in injection molding and die maintenance, along with a strong ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and maintain injection molding machines, robots, and other molding area equipment.

Conduct mold setups, changeovers, and perform maintenance as needed.

Perform new mold testing and resolve related production issues.

Program and adjust robot systems associated with molding equipment.

Work with external mold, machine, and equipment vendors as necessary.

Ensure all machinery is well-maintained and operating efficiently.

Assist with troubleshooting of molding processes during production.

Maintain accurate records including startup checklists, machine logs, and condition reports.

Promote efficiency and continuous improvement by minimizing material waste and supporting lean practices.

Follow and support all safety guidelines and 5-S initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 40 lbs on a frequent basis.

Must be comfortable working closely with a team in a manufacturing setting.

Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mold Technician.

Demonstrated experience with injection molding and die maintenance.
-
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
