Job Title: Warehouse Clerk
Pay: $18.00
Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00pm
Location: Aurora, IL
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, validating deliveries, and ensuring accurate shipment processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments to address shipping discrepancies and maintaining organized inventory records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and sign for deliveries from distributors.
- Assist in unloading shipments and transport items using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect shipment contents and compare with purchase orders.
- Communicate with internal departments for discrepancies resolution.
- Store, restock, and shelve items as needed.
- Process transfers of materials within warehouse locations.
- Conduct inventory checks and update database records.
- Report major shipment delays or issues to management.
- Address customer inquiries regarding orders and shipments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) orders.
- Manage special delivery instructions and notifications.
- Ensure inventory levels meet replacement order demands.
- Support team efforts to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; preferred: GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP/Agile software is a plus.
- Certification to operate forklift preferred.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to use inventory software efficiently.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle discrepancies calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of shipping and billing procedures.
- Efficient time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols.
